LuncheonSpeakers: Sandi Rubchinuk, Regional Network Coordinator for the State of NH and Kathy Dunn, Pentucket BankDrug Abuse in the Workplace Sandi Rubchinuk of NHBDAS: "Allies in Substance Abuse Prevention (ASAP) is one of ten Regional Networks throughout the State of NH funded through Federal Block Grant money which is administered through the Bureau of Alcohol and Drug Services. ASAP works regionally throughout Greater Rockingham County to build and sustain a comprehensive approach that works to reduce underage drinking, educate community members about the dangers and risks of substance misuse, and increase resources for community leaders to take a role in prevention, intervention, and treatment efforts. ASAP can work closely with Business Owners and Management to help prevent and confront these issues within the workplace. Suzanne King of Schwartz Hannum PC is a labor and employment lawyer who spoke on how to manage substance abuse in the workplace: what the legal issues are and what are the best practices to use.
