January 2010 P.A.C.E. Luncheon Guest speaker Trish Schade of Northern Essex Community College in Massachusetts discussed Building Teams by Using Clifton Strengths Finder. Team-real teams (not just groups of people) are crucial to the performance of organizations. Developing cohesive teams requires thoughtful disciplined action. Teams shape purpose and goals.
In this presentation, Trish focused on developing teams that include people with the four domains of leadership strengths (Executing, Influencing, Relationship Building and Strategic Thinking). A tool like “Strengths Finder” can be useful in determining how all team members can maximize their contributions to the groups collective goals. |
