Electra L. "Ellie" Alessio, Publisher and Editor of the Carriage Towne News, founded the publication in 1983 which is now celebrating it's 25th anniversary . She is a Charter Member of PACE and was its President from 1990 to 1993. She also served as a member of the Board of Director for more than 10 years, Currently, she is Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Exeter Area Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the New England Press Association.

Ellie served as a member of the Sanborn Regional School Board for 13 years, co-chaired the Kingston Community Profile Project in 2000, served as a member of the NH Commission on the Status of Women for 6 years, and was a member of the Kingston Business Development Committee.

She has been Kingston's Town Moderator for more than 20 years, and currently as Chairman of Kingston's Board of Adjustment. She is also a Charter member of the Kingston Business and Professional Women's organization, where she has served on the Local, State and National level.

Ellie has also received numerous awards including the 1996 NH Champion for Children, awarded by the NH School Administrative Association, and the Haverhill YWCA Tribute to Women Award. Last year, Carriage Towne News was recognized by the Better Business Bureau for its clean record of service in the business community, and most recently, Ellie was honored as Kingston's Citizen of the Year for 2008.
