Karen Keisling, Independent Beauty Consutant

During her years as an Independent Mary Kay business owner, Karen Keisling has seen her business change and grow more than she could have imagined. She is able to work from home around the schedules of her busy family and earn extra income for herself. Mary Kay has been recognized for being the bestselling brand of skin care and color cosmetics in the U.S. for over 15 years. The product line consists of the latest in antiaging skin care as well as the newly introduced mineral powder line for color cosmetics and powders. The recently added men’s line has launched with great success, and fragrances and body care products round out the line.

Karen loves to offer complimentary professional and personalized pampering sessions for women and men, as well as a career for those who want to either supplement their current income or add significantly to the family income while upholding the values of faith first, family second and career third and following the Golden Rule in conducting their businesses. During the gift-giving seasons (think Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, graduations, bridal parties…), Karen loves being able to offer a gift service by providing customized gifts with free gift-wrapping for her clients. She works with individuals and businesses to help find the perfect gifts for employees, clients, and family members.

“I have customers who are looking for something small around $10-$20 as well as those who want a basket of goodies for $100!,” Karen adds. And for those who just can’t decide, Karen provides gift certificates.

Another special aspect of the company that Karen loves is their charitable foundation which supports research for fighting cancers that affect women as well as funding to aid women and children escaping domestic violence. "It’s important to be part of a company that gives back to women and the local communities. I want to be able to do more with my life and in this way I feel I can help enrich women’s lives, which is the mission of Mary Kay.” Karen lives in East Hampstead, NH with her husband, John, 15-year old son, John Jr, and 5-year old daughter, Rachel. They love to ski and travel together in their spare time.
