A 1995 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, West in San Jose, CA, Dr. Beth has been practicing for 14 years. After settling in MA, New Life Chiropractic was opened in 2003. Her focus includes family, pediatric and pregnancy care enjoying patients of all ages. Dr. Beth specializes in the diversified technique, postural abnormalities and KST, a non force technique utilizing the arthrostim adjusting instrument. Dr. Beth is dedicated to helping her patients achieve their wellness objectives. She is licensed in MA and NH. “I have customers who are looking for something small around $10-$20 as well as those who want a basket of goodies for $100!,” Karen adds. And for those who just can’t decide, Karen provides gift certificates. Eileen Dube is the founder and owner of Merrimack Valley Acupuncture. She holds a Master of Acupuncture in Japanese and Chinese acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture, the oldest and one of the most prestigious schools of acupuncture in the United States. She is a nationally certified licensed acupuncturist and holds the status of Diplomat in Acupuncture from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Her extensive clinical experience included treating patients in integrative medicine settings at Winchester Hospital, Malden Family Health Center, and Lynn Elder Services. Her training included traditional as well as non-needling techniques, orthopedic acupuncture, and oriental bodywork. She is certified by the Auriculotherapy Certification Institute, demonstrating her training in the treatment of disease using this microsystem. She is also a second degree Reiki practitioner. In addition to her expertise In Eastern medicine, she has an in-depth understanding of pain from a Western medical perspective. She is a graduate of the Tufts University School of Medicine where she received her Master of Science in Pain Research, Education and Policy. She is the only person in NH and one of the only a handful of people in the country to have achieved a Master Degree in both disciplines. Prior to becoming an acupuncturist, Eileen spent over 20 years in the biotechnology and biopharmaceuticals field. She firmly believes that health and wellness are achieved through the active participation of the patient in partnership with their healthcare practitioners. She is dedicated to bringing Eastern medicine to the people of Southern NH and the Merrimack Valley. Tammy Wagstaff Hawkes graduated from the Polarity Realization institute in Ipswich, MA in 1998, where she studied Polarity Therapy and Energy Science. Polarity Therapy incorporates many of the ancient Eastern healing techniques, some of which include: Reiki, Acupressure, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Foot Reflexology, Shiatsu, Spinal Massage, as well as Charka and Aura Clearing. Polarity Therapy releases blocked or closed energy from the body. Stress and emotion pain blocks our energy from flowing through our bodies properly; the constriction of this energy flow creates physical pain, emotional distress and disease. Moreover, this constriction makes it hard for us to make good choices and keeps us from moving forward in life. The realigning and balancing of this energy not only reduces and releases physical pain from the body, but also removes the emotional cause. This in turn, gives you clarity of mind for good decision making and the strength to move forward in our truth and in our creativity, leaving us with a sense of wholeness. This will then enable us to manifest our abundance in life, love and health. Reiki is a hands-on healing method that helps you cope with stress, illness and physical injury. Your body’s ability to heal itself is activated by the flow of universal life force energy through the hands of the practitioner. Stress and pain are reduced and the balance is restored to the body, mind and spirit. Reiki heals on all levels: emotional, physical, mental and spiritual. Routine use of Reiki allows you to maintain a state of well being. Tammy started teaching meditation workshops in the year 2000, introducing a better understanding of how the body’s energy System works through the Chakra System. Tammy also explains the “law of attraction”, what you put out into the world is what comes back, either through actions or thought forms. Now through their understanding of how energy recreates itself, Tammy instructs her students on how to clear negative energy and patterns so they can manifest more of what they want in their lives and less of what they do not want. Some of the other techniques she incorporates into her workshops, Tammy Hawkes is our Reiki and Polarity Therapist. Mary Gail Sullivan is our Massage Therapist, who comes with several years experience. She is a 1993 graduate of the Muscular Therapy Institute (MTI) in Cambridge, MA and taught at MTI for 15 years, including a stint as Department Chair of the Massage Technique Department. She has been in private practice since 1992, focusing on injury evaluation and treatment. Mary Gail is certified in the Benjamin System of musculoskeletal injury assessment and treatment (also known as Orthopedic Massage), and has taught orthopedic massage workshops alongside MTI founder Dr. Ben Benjamin for the past decade.
