Benefit Auction and Presentation of Business Person of the Year Award
The Plaistow Area Commerce Exchange (P.A.C.E)
held their 18th Annual Scholarship and Community Service Auction on
Saturday, March 24 at The Granite Rose, located at 22 Garland Drive in Hampstead. For the first time, PACE also present
the Business Person of the Year Award, which recognized Wally Zaremba, President of RAM Printing. Proceeds from the auction will benefit
a scholarship program eligible to Timberlane,
Pinkerton and Sanborn school district students.
The event began with a Cocktail Social and Silent Auction from 6:30
to 7:30 p.m., dinner at 7:30 p.m., followed by the presentation of the
2007 Business Person of the Year Award, and the Live Auction at 8:15p.m.
Serving as awas will be Kevin Linehan, a hypnotist with OnTrac Hypnosis & Wellness Center
in Atkinson. Tickets were $40 per
person or $400 for a table of ten.
In announcing the 2007 honoree, PACE President Leslie Riemitis
notes, "Wally exemplifies all that this award embodies. He is successful in his business,
generous to the community and admired by his peers. He has shaped a creative work
atmosphere for his employees and undertaken an initiative that respects
the world environment. We are
pleased to honor Wally as the 2007 Business Person of the Year."
Over the past 17 years, PACE has raised more than $93,000 to
support the scholarship program and benefit many other community
efforts. Donations of items for
the auction are still welcome.
